The NISBC and Cinema Center bring “Chasing Ice” to Fort Wayne

Over the past year Fort Wayne has experienced a derecho, drought and random 10 inch snow storms. Is this undeniable evidence our planet is changing? On March 15, 2013, the Fort Wayne Cinema Center will host an opening night event for the film, Chasing Ice. “Chasing Ice is the story of one man’s mission to change the tide of history by gathering undeniable evidence of our changing planet” from www.chasingice.com.

Earning such awards as Excellence in Cinematography: US Documentary at the Sundance Film Festival and 22 other awards at film festivals around the world, Chasing Ice is brought to Fort Wayne audiences through sponsorship by the Northeast Indiana Sustainable Business Council (NISBC). The NISBC is a nonprofit organization offering businesses in the area training and certification through its Bright Green Business program.

During a reception following the film, attendees are encouraged to share their observations and participate in a discussion about how the planet is changing and the growing need to implement sustainable practices in our businesses and homes. Throughout the reception information will be offered about the initiatives of businesses and the NISBC to help our region become more sustainable.

Space is limited and tickets must be purchased at Cinema Center by March 15th in order to attend. There is no additional cost for ticket holders to attend the reception thanks to sponsorships from Indiana Tech and the NISBC. For information about the film showings, please visit www.cinemacenter.org. For more information about the NISBC, please visit www.nisbc.org.

Film will begin at 6:30 pm and is approximately one hour long. Location of the Cinema Center is 437 E Berry Street Fort Wayne, IN 46802.
