(May 1, 2013) – TGFMobile and Southside Fest will be hosting A Mother’s Day Celebration featuring national recording artists Shirley Murdock and the Zapp Band, as well as local sensations Fatima Washington and Latrice Goree. The event will be held on Friday, May 10th at Link’s, located at 1711 E. Creighton Street in Fort Wayne. Doors open at 7 p.m.; the show starts at 8 p.m. An after party will begin at midnight.

Those who attend will be given flowers and candy and have the opportunity to win one of many door prizes. Shirley Murdock will also pause to reflect on the lives lost to unnecessary violence and offer words of encouragement to those in attendance.

  • “The President’s doomsday scenarios are of his own choosing,” Rep. Marlin Stutzman, R-Ind., argued in response to Cutter’s email. “The sequester will cut 2.3 percent, or $85 billion, from the massive $3.55 trillion the federal government is projected to spend this year alone. To put that percentage in perspective, we borrow that much money every 28 days. If the President can’t cut that much, he’ll never cut anything.”
