Stein Line Relay Race. Sign up for this FREE event at the information booth/main gate area (or use the entry form in the Germanfest newspaper section). Teams will compete in this relay of man/beer and balloons! Sponsored by Granite City Brewing Co and Rock 104. Win fabulous prizes in the Stein Line is a relay race… with a twist. Three teams of four members each compete. Each member runs with a full stein in each hand to pass off to the next team member. First to cross the finish line with some beer STILL in the steins wins! What’s the twist you say? Each member must run with a balloon held between the knees. Don’t pop that balloon or you have to go back to your starting position! Players must be at least 21 years old to play.

  • “The President’s doomsday scenarios are of his own choosing,” Rep. Marlin Stutzman, R-Ind., argued in response to Cutter’s email. “The sequester will cut 2.3 percent, or $85 billion, from the massive $3.55 trillion the federal government is projected to spend this year alone. To put that percentage in perspective, we borrow that much money every 28 days. If the President can’t cut that much, he’ll never cut anything.”
