  • The TinCaps ended the first half of the season with wins in 18 of their final 22 games to have the most victories in all of minor league baseball from May 26-June 16.
  • Starting pitcher Joe Ross, closer Roman Madrid, catcher Dane Phillips, and first baseman Luis Tejada are set to play in the Midwest League All-Star Game tonight in Dayton. Designated hitter Jeremy Baltz also made the team, but can’t compete due to injury.

  • “The President’s doomsday scenarios are of his own choosing,” Rep. Marlin Stutzman, R-Ind., argued in response to Cutter’s email. “The sequester will cut 2.3 percent, or $85 billion, from the massive $3.55 trillion the federal government is projected to spend this year alone. To put that percentage in perspective, we borrow that much money every 28 days. If the President can’t cut that much, he’ll never cut anything.”

  • One thing we always check for when coming into a new city, is construction cranes on the horizon. Lack of cranes on a city's horizon suggests complacency and lack of progress or movement. To the cranes at Project Emerald Skyline, welcome back, old friends! Photo taken Friday, June 19, 2015, from the Lincoln Tower. #progress #cityonthemove
