Community invited to Muslim Journeys Book Club

(August 16, 2013) – The Helmke Library at Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) is proud to present the book club “Let’s Talk About It: Muslim Journeys!” The initiative aims to familiarize public audiences in the United States with the people, places, history, faith, and cultures of Muslims in the United States and around the world.

“Let’s Talk About It: Muslim Journeys,” a reading and discussion series, has been made possible through a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities in cooperation with the American Library Association.

The Helmke Library is recruiting a group of 25–30 readers on a first-come, first-served basis. Copies of the books will be loaned to participants at no charge. Five books will be read and discussed; each discussion session will be facilitated by an expert speaker, who will preface the discussion with a brief background lecture.
