The Fort Wayne City Council holds a public hearing concerning the proposed tax abatement changes on November 25, 2008.

Stephen Parker addresses the Fort Wayne City Council during its courtesy hearing for Councilwomen Liz Brown and Karen Goldners proposed changes to the Citys tax abatement code. He asks if the Council should have a discussion now regarding the awarding of tax abatements to gambling concerns. John B. Kalb follows and asks about the Indiana Code that prohibits other businesses, if it would also apply to a Harrison Square store selling liquor. Jeff Pruitt is next up as he questions the value of tax abatements vs flat out lowering the tax rates.
