On May 9, 2019, US Marshalls apprehended James Dodson on a Murder and Criminal Recklessness warrant issued by the Fort Wayne Police Department.

The Allen County Coroner's Office has completed the autopsy and made notification to the next of kin, of the male victim that was located on the sidewalk in the 1700 block of Lake Avenue on April 9, 2019.
